fraud identification of cow’s milk in buffalo’s milk and it’s products using the polymerase chain reaction

چکیده
conclusions to avoid unfair competition and to assure consumers of accurate labeling, using this method is recommended for regulatory agencies. results the limit of detection of cow’s milk in buffalo’s milk, yogurt and cheese is 1, 2 and 4%, respectively. undeclared presence of cow’s milk was detected in 70% of the milk samples, 64% of the yogurt and 52% of the cheese samples. in 10% of the yogurt samples and 14% of the cheese samples, no apparent buffalo-related amplification product was observed, suggesting that cow’s milk was entirely substituted for buffalo’s milk in these samples. objectives the objective of the present study was to assess the purity of buffalo milk and it’s products offered as “pure buffalo” in the market. methods using species-specific primers, a duplex polymerase chain reaction (pcr) assay was performed to detect the fraudulent addition of cow’s milk to buffalo’s milk and it’s products. background in the dairy industry, protection against species substitution or admixture is important for several reasons, including frequent human adverse reactions toward some species milk proteins, and trade and government regulations.

Detection of Coxiella burnetii in cows’, goats’, and ewes’ bulk milk samples using polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
Q fever is a worldwide distributed zoonotic disease caused by Coxiella burnetii (Hoover et al., 1992; Maurin and Roult, 1999; Norlander, 2000), except New Zealand (Hilbink et al., 1993). Seroepidemiologic studies have reported different results for the seroprevalence of the bacterium in sheep (3 to 79 %) in Turkey (Özyer et al., 1990; Çetinkaya et al., 2000; Kalender, 2001; Kı lıc et al., 2005;...

Contagious agalactiae (C.A.) is one of the most common disease affecting small ruminants which is caused by Mycoplasma agalactiae. This disease is particularly widespread around the world and Iran is one of the countries that C.A. is present. The aim of this study was isolation and identification of M. agalactiae (MG) with culture and PCR technique in milk samples in Kordestan province, Iran. A...

Perforin was purified to homogeneity from the murine cytotoxic T-lymphocyte cell line, CTLL-2 B 1 /6, by minor modifications of published methods [3]. In order to identify the maximum dose of perforin causing no lysis of KS62 cells (non-lethal dose), cells were incubated in Krebs-Hepes buffer with various doses o f perforin for 1 0 min at 37°C. Cell lysis was estimated by Trypan Blue uptake. Si...
